Tutors
The tutors at Basically Quartets have been selected for their expertise in the field of chamber music,
for their experience as teachers and coaches and for their genuine interest in adult learners.
In addition, each tutor brings with them particular skills or experiences that make them ideally suited to Basically Quartets. Christine's work in the prevention of musicians' injuries, Katherine's authorship of "Violin for Dummies", Brian's many years of experience as a chamber player and coach and George's specialty of 19th century performance practice will enhance and broaden the Basically Quartets experience.
With enrolment on each course limited to a maximum of four groups, there will be a high ratio of tutors to participants. For those who are interested, sectional masterclasses will be offered (e.g. cellists can participate in a masterclass with George, our cello tutor). Participants will also have the opportunity to play with a tutor sitting in with their group during coaching from within sessions.
